Serpent Nations Cup, Dutch team win Leg 1
It looks like the racing in Lisbon, Portugal is very tight with the experienced 3-man Dutch team taking the lead after day one in this years Serpent Nations Cup.
Team Netherlands denied host nation Portugal a home win in the opening leg of the 2006 Serpent Nations Cup claiming a 3 point victory over Team Portugal(4) at the end of today’s (Saturday) 24 races.
Portugal initially headed the standings but problems in the 4th round of today’s competition saw the Dutch team of Danny Leewis, Rob Kuijpers and Stanley Bauer overtake the local to secure the Leg 1 winners trophy.
Good consistent performances by defending Champions Great Britain puts them just one point adrift of Portugal (4) to hold an overnight podium placing.

Xray win the 2006 Curitibano Championship

Xray have a report on the Curitibano Championship in Brazil in which Fabiano Franco driving his Xray T2 won the Championship.
XRAY TEAM BRASIL was very satisfied with this season. This round was full of XRAY T2 cars. In the TOP eight, 4 drivers were using the XRAY T2 chassis and 1 driver was using FK’05. FS MODELSPORT was very proud to see that and to announce that XRAY T2 was the champion of Modified Class.

Worlds Flashback Part 2 – Xray column
In his second and final column concerning this years off road Worlds, Xray chief designer Juraj Hudy gives of us the latest news and behind the scenes information from this epic event.
The entire team has worked very hard during the last few months testing plenty of new ideas to be well prepared for this most important race. Winning the European Championship and the latest excellent results world wide were giving us great confidence, and we landed at Jakarta with nothing less than 100% preparation and motivation.

Cabezas wins EFRA GP & Spanish Nats
‘Serpent Driver Development’ team member Oscar Cabezas took victory in the EFRA Spanish GP at Elche over the weekend and with it the Spanish 1:8 National Championship title.
Qualifying on the front row of the grid, the 19-year-old got away from the line perfectly getting the jump on pole sitter Sergio Montesinos. Once in front Cabezas took control of the race and at the 15 minute stage had a commanding 1 lap advantage over second.
Maintaining his lead Cabezas took his Mega MF powered Serpent 960 to a superb victory and his second EFRA Spanish GP win.
