Paolo Morganti - Worlds 2006

Paolo Morganti (another old picture) has TQ’d the US Open Fuel Sedan Championships being held this weekend at the Kissimmee track in Florida. Paolo, driving a Serpent 720 dominated the qualifyng, having benefited from a lot of track time at last weekends Regional event held at the same track, which he won. In second position was German driver Michael Salven, the only European at the event with DJ Apolaro in third followed by young ‘Serpent Development Driver’ Scotty Gray in 4th, making a complete block out at the front for Serpents new 720 chassis. In fifth position we saw current US national champion and World Championship top qualifier Chris Tosolini driving a Kyosho.

The weather was starting to look bad as qualifying drew to a close and with the finals due for tomorrow everyone will be hoping they dont need to make use of the spare day on Sunday to run the mains.
