Serpent have just announced that they are to return to off road racing and have signed one of the sports top designers in the process. Serpent viennent d'annoncer qu'ils sont de retour à la course sur route de réduction et ont signé un des sports meilleurs designers dans le processus. Gerd Strenge, better known as Mr.Durango from Germany, has entered into a long-term cooperation with Serpent, for the development of offroad rc racing cars. Gerd Strenge, mieux connu sous le nom de Mr.Durango de l'Allemagne, est entré dans une coopération à long terme avec Serpent, pour le développement de offroad rc voitures de course. Strenge is famous in the electric offroad scene, for his very innovative Team Durango 1/10 scale 4wd offroad project. Strenge est célèbre dans la scène électrique offroad, pour son très novateur équipe Durango 1 / 10 échelle 4wd offroad projet. Gerd started this project in 2002 and he has been developing the car ever since. Gerd a démarré ce projet en 2002 et il a mis au point la voiture depuis lors. His Team Durango car has been European Champion and his cars have reached many GP, EC and even WC finals in the hands of famous drivers like Hara and Marc Reinhard. This obviously also announces a return of Serpent in the offroad arena. Cela annonce également un retour du Serpent dans le domaine offroad. Serpent have an interesting story on their site about Champ Car star and soon to be Formula One driver Sebastien Bourdais who tried out one of their F180 formula cars yesterday (Thursday) at Assen where he and his Newman Haas Lanigan Team are preparing for this weekend’s second European Champ Car World Series encounters. The reigning Champ Car Champion drove one of three F180s brought by Serpent to the 1:1 track which is situated in the north of Holland. The French Cup for 1:8th Off Road took place over the weekend at the Pertuis track in the South of France where former World Champion Guillaume Vray showed he still has it by taking the victory. Mugen have release this new optional battery holder for there MRX-4X. Mugen ont communiqué cette nouvelle batterie en option titulaire pour y MRX-4X. Made from carbon fiber, the holder is claimed to make the car more responsive by improving the rigidity of the 1:8 onroad chassis. Fabriqués en fibre de carbone, le titulaire est revendiquée à la voiture plus réactive en améliorant la rigidité du châssis 1:8 onroad.

Peter Harder was the man to beat in the fifth round of the Danish 1/8th Offroad Championships which took place over the weekend in Naestved, south of Copenhagen. After an easy win in his Semi, Harder amost saw all his good work go by the wayside in the A Main when he made a mistake at the triple jump on the opening lap which allowed CEN driver Rune Gustavsen and Xray team-mate Claus Nielsen to take up the lead battle. The 12th running of the KO Grand Prix took place in England over the weekend and it was Mirage team drivers who filled the modified podium with Olly Jefferies taking the win from Andy Moore and Ben Cosgrove. Driving his Hot Bodies/Orion combination, Jefferies ruled throughout the event setting the FTD ahead of team-mate Moore. The XRAY aluminum shock absorbers come with all the necessary parts to build one pair of shocks (2 shocks).
