1st Annual gshobby.com Nitro Jam

We received this report from JR Mitch on the recent 1st Annual gshobby.com Nitro Jam – With exactly 100 entries, the 1st Annual gshobby.com Nitro Jam held at the 555 Raceway in Bartow, FL amd presented by JR Mitch (Sept 8 & 9) was a success. People began showing up to practice on Thursday and Friday for non-stop track time.

Saturday qualifying went well, the track was a little bumpy, but everyone seemed to adapt to the changing track conditions. After qualifying everyone stuck around to watch the freestyle competition. Gas truck, 1/8 scales and monster trucks battled it out, however Jeremy Myers showed everyone how it was done and took the title of the gshobby.com Nitro Jam Freestyle Champion. Congrats Jeremy! Sunday was mains day and our own Bryon Shumate, owner of gshobby.com, bumped from the D Main to the A Main in 1/8 scale. Unfortunately the A-Main 1/8 scale event was cut short due to a massive rain storm.

Thanks to all of the racers that help make the race a success. It was nice to see a lot of new faces attend the race and we hope to see more new faces as the sport continues to grow in FL.

We would also like to thank our sponsors for their generous donations which helped create a successful raffle and most importantly over $300 to the Armed Forces Foundation.
