King, Vik & Nicol sweep Kyosho Fall Classic Categories - Events, Gas, Kyosho, Off Road, Racing - comments closed
Kyosho drivers Cody King, Tyler Vik, and privateer Jeff Nicol made it a Kyosho 1-2-3 sweep in the Truggy class at the Kyosho Fall Classic last weekend. Cody King had TQ, but an early race tangle near the starting grid surrendered the lead to Kyosho driver Ryan Lutz. Lutz lead the majority of the main, but King maintained pressure, and slowly chipped away at the leaders cushion. After the final pit stops, the two were side by side on the track, and then King took control with about 5 minutes to go. With King a mere 10 seconds ahead, and only 3 minutes to go, Lutz had a mechanical problem, and dropped out. Lutz still had accumulated enough laps to land in 5th place.

Zack Barry wins US Micro On-Road Nats Categories - Electric, Events, National, On Road, Racing, Xray - comments closed 
Xray have a report on the first ever 1/18th Scale US On-road Nationals, held last week at RC Madness in Enfield, CT, with numerous classes present including Micro Sedan, Pan car, Recoil (1/14th), Rally, and Open Truck. Zack Barry was present with the new M18T Pro and after qualifying for the Open Truck class he lined up 2nd, despite running the fastest lap times. At the start of the main final Zack quickly got by the leader but had a bobble shortly after that, allowing 3rd place driver Tony Phalen to get by. Now running in 2nd place, Zack followed Tony for several laps, slowly closing the gap. When Tony’s truck “thermalled out” Zack took the lead and with it the win, followed home by John Cravotta in 2nd and Dillon Spinelli in 3rd.

Ray Wood has finally released his DVD from the 2007 IFMAR 1/8th scale World Championship in Cordoba, Argentina. Red RC were present at this race and I can tell you that this will be an awesome DVD to own, not only because of the the amazing main final action, but you also get so much more.
We have 100 minutes of top RC entertainment. Racing, interviews, action, the worlds best fight it out for the crown, and what a great close race, 3 different leaders, Fantini, Collari & Tosolini over the 60 minutes and at the end, only 12 seconds across the first 3 places.
