JP Racing FirstLine Stock & Black Categories - JP Racing, Engines, Off Road, On Road, Products , trackback
French engine manufacturer JP Racing have released 2 new lines of engines, the FirstLine Stock and FirstLine Black, aimed at the drivers who want to own JP Racing branded engine without having to invest huge amounts of money. Both ranges feature a .12 circuit motor, a .21 circuit engine, a .21 buggy motor and a .21 Rally game engine and come with many of the same features found in the more expensive versions of the same motors. Both lines includes a lightened and hard coated crankshaft while the Black line also have balanced crankshafts and the liner has had additional porting work done.

This is awesome, although no price yet, I think this will help the 1/8 On-Road and 1/8 Buggy crowd, especially those that want to switch from a “stock/basic” mill. Similar idea to what Serpent did under Peter B. when he wanted to make 1/8 IC more affordable.
Yes, great idea from JP! Not sure about a 3-port buggy engine for competition at bigger tracks but I’m looking for an onroad engine and here the P7L wakes my interest. Also it couln’d be overseen that the 7-port design is pretty much Sirio like including the cut on the middle ports and the ‘1.5′ turbo cuts plus their positions at the crankshaft … when it also runs a bit like a Sirio then this will be my next engine!
Seems like they put in another picture of the P7L liner since yesterday. Now with another cut at the middle ports … just to be correct. :)
Finally …
P7L stock has the ‘Sirio shaped’ pattern at the middle port, the P7L black has the typical JP one.
