We received a brief report from Motonica on last weekend’s first Austrian Championship race that was held at the Kirchberg track, host of this years European 1/8th ‘B’ Championships. Wir erhielten einen kurzen Bericht von Motonica am vergangenen Wochenende die erste österreichische Meisterschaft das Rennen fand auf dem Kirchberg-Spur Gastgeber des diesjährigen Europäischen 1:8 'B' Championships. The race was won by Herfried Pucher driving the P8.0R, less than a lap ahead of Serpent driver Harald Hofer in 2nd while 3rd spot went to Kyosho racer Thomas Sutrich, who was a lap further back. The 2008 Australian Gas off road Nationals were held last weekend in Maryborough near Melbourne, in the south of the country. The first round of the Austrian Electric Touring car Nationals were held recently at the RMC track in Vienna. Die erste Runde der österreichischen Elektro-Tourenwagen-Bürgerinnen und-Bürger fanden vor kurzem auf die Spur RMC in Wien. Practice took place on Friday and Saturday under dry conditions and this allowed the drivers present plenty of time to perfect their setups for qualifying. Praxis fand am Freitag und Samstag unter trockenen Bedingungen, und dies erlaubt den Fahrern präsentieren genügend Zeit zu perfektionieren ihre Setups für Qualifikationsspiele. In the qualifying it was local Xray driver Mario Sowka that claimed the pole position for the 3 leg A-main, in front of Im Qualifying war es lokalen XRay Fahrer Mario Sowka behauptete, dass die Pole-Position für die A 3 Bein-Main, vor European buggy Champion Europäische Buggy Champion Hupo Honigl driving a Tamiya while HB racer Thomas Pumpler took 3rd. The final leg saw a collision early on between Mario and Hupo and this dropped both out of contention and allowed Pumpler into the lead, but he was followed closely by Patrick Gollner who could take the lead and leg win after a small mistake by Thomas and this result gifted the win the Mario Sowka, with Thomas Pumpler claiming 2nd and Hupo gaining the final podium spot.
