Το Herfried Pucher κερδίζει στην Αυστρία Categories - Gas, On Road, National, Racing - add a comment 
Λάβαμε μια συνοπτική έκθεση από Motonica σχετικά με φυλή πρωταθλήματος του τελευταίου Σαββατοκύριακου την πρώτη αυστριακή που κρατήθηκε στη διαδρομή Kirchberg, πλήθος αυτού του έτη ευρωπαϊκού 1/8th πρωταθλήματα `Β». Η φυλή κερδήθηκε από Herfried Pucher οδηγώντας το P8.0R, λιγότερο από μια περιτύλιξη μπροστά από τον οδηγό Harald Hofer φιδιών στο 2$ο ενώ το 3ος σημείο πήγε Kyosho στο δρομέα Thomas Sutrich, ο οποίος ήταν μια περιτύλιξη πιο πίσω. Το Herfried είχε τα εξής για να πει για τη φυλή:
Η εποχή αρχίζει αρκετά καλά! Το νέο αυτοκίνητο είναι ακόμη και 2/10 γρηγορότερο έπειτα το 2007. Έφθασα στη διαδρομή το Σάββατο πρωί. Εξαιτίας του γεγονότος, εκείνου του το ξέρω καλά, άρχισα ακριβώς με κάποιο εξεταστικό πρόγραμμα σχετικά με τις διαμορφώσεις πετρελαίου και άνοιξη κλονισμού, να σταθεροποιώ το οπίσθιο τμήμα! Το αυτοκίνητο ήταν γρήγορο από την αρχή, και το μεγαλύτερο πλεονέκτημα ήταν, ότι θα μπορούσα να διαχειριστώ τις πολύ σταθερές περιτυλίξεις!

Το αυστραλιανό αέριο του 2008 από τους οδικούς υπηκόους κρατήθηκε τελευταίο Σαββατοκύριακο μέσα Maryborough κοντά στη Μελβούρνη, στο νότο της χώρας. Το γεγονός προσέλκυσε μια είσοδο ικανότητας και μετά από ημι τελικά, ήταν πόνος Joshua που παρατάσσουν στη θέση πόλων για την έναρξη κύριου τελικού, με Losi τον οδηγό Andrew Gillott ακριβώς πίσω στο 2$ο. Στο τέλος ενός εξαντλητικού 1 ώρα πολλή τελικό, Mugen οδηγός Wayne Walker, που είχε αρχίσει από τελευταίο στο πλέγμα, πήρε κερδίζει και εθνικός τίτλος μέχρι 25 δευτερόλεπτα από 2$ο τοποθετημένο Zac Ryan, που οδηγούν ένα HongNor, ενώ στο 3ος σημείο ήταν ο Andrew Gillott.

RB in France have released the first information on the new R3 RC touring car engine. This new .12 motor is based on the race winning standard R3 yet sports a number of new upgrades such as the orange anodised long stroke carburettor venturi, a new lightened hand made crankshaft as well as new extreme intake timing and a newly engraved low centre of gravity cooling head.

Team Orion Vortex SL & 1:36 BL Categories - Team Orion, Motors, Electric, Products - 1 comment so far 
Yesterday we showed you the first pictures of the production Vortex Experience and Micro 1/18 brushless motors from Team Orion. Today we have more first pictures from the Swiss company, this time from the brushless Vortex SL, a line of sensorless motors that have been designed for those racers that want high performance on a budget, with a speed version and a high torque version set to be released. Also new is the Vortex 1:36, a BL motor that brings larger scale performance to the smallest scales of racing cars, and when sold will be initially available in 2 different versions - 9500KV and 10300KV.

Mario Sowka wins Austrian EP Rd1 Categories - Events, Electric, On Road, National, Racing - 1 comment so far 
The first round of the Austrian Electric Touring car Nationals were held recently at the RMC track in Vienna. Practice took place on Friday and Saturday under dry conditions and this allowed the drivers present plenty of time to perfect their setups for qualifying. In the qualifying it was local Xray driver Mario Sowka that claimed the pole position for the 3 leg A-main, in front of European buggy Champion Hupo Honigl driving a Tamiya while HB racer Thomas Pumpler took 3rd. In the final it was Pumpler that took the first leg, after Sowka made a mistake and dropped to 5th, but recovered to 2nd by the finish. In the 2nd leg it was Hupo that was leading early on but a small mistake and Mario was through to the lead and despite some more pressure, including a collision, the Xray driver could take the win. The final leg saw a collision early on between Mario and Hupo and this dropped both out of contention and allowed Pumpler into the lead, but he was followed closely by Patrick Gollner who could take the lead and leg win after a small mistake by Thomas and this result gifted the win the Mario Sowka, with Thomas Pumpler claiming 2nd and Hupo gaining the final podium spot.
