Our friends from Dansk Hobby Import have been in touch to tell us about their success over the Winter months with their newly signed driver Jonas Kaerup.
Last fall Morfars.dk chose to focus more on the competition segment of the RC market and made a deal with former European Champion Jonas Kaerup to race the Hot Bodies Cyclone for Morfars.dk. Jonas Kaerup has competed in the Danish DASU /national championship all winter in the modified category a class that has been very closely fought with some tremendous races. In the last race of the season, Jonas had to TQ and win in order to take the championship. That is exactly what he did, and after winning all 3 mains he was celebrated as the Danish National Champion 2007/08. Throughout the championship Jonas Kaerup has used GM’s Commander charger, GM Evo3 motors, GM Vis-matched cells, along with Xenon gears, Kanzen bearings, Racer magazine and Much More products, with great success. Morfars.dk wishes to congratulate Jonas Kaerup on his championship success.
More news from Speed Passion who have released their new GT ESC Version 1.1, which now has a built in USB software upgrade feature. This allows the user to update the company’s new Digital Racing Respond System and other future new developments for the ESC. Also announced was the GT ESC Version 1.1 LPF ‘Low Profile edition’ (above), which as the name suggests is a specially built low profile design suitable for 1/12th, 1/10th stock racing and 1/10th off road. The new controller can handle a maximum current of 400A and has a super low resistance of 0.0006ohm. Can be used with brushless motors up to 4.0T motor on 4.8V or 5.5T on 7.2V.

After the success of their Brushless systems, Speed Passion have turned their hand to pit area accessories, specifically new carbon option products. Released in April, this new silver carbon fibre setup board is 2.0mm thick and is 330×430mm, giving you a super light weight and flat working platform to set up your car. Also new is a carbon fibre pitting mat that has been made from 100% black carbon and measures 580×762mm and gives you a super smooth, and cool looking, working area.

Flashy colours and a huge RB logo on the chest, the rear sports the slogan ‘the power of champions’ in white across the shoulders. Team Orion have announced the release of 2 new decal sheets for adorning the body on your electric or gas powered car. The large decal sheet, which is a few centimeters bigger than A4, features lots of Team Orion logos for use on a light and dark background, and what is neat about this sheet is that each logo is tagged with the correct application for the that logo. So the large ones are for a truggy/buggy or on-road wing, while the smallest fits perfectly on a Mini-Z hood or sides as well as on the nose cone of the buggy. The second smaller sheet is for gas powered cars, and specifically Wasp CRF users, and again sports a number of different logos for different coloured backgrounds and applications.
