Michael Salven wint in Dormagen Categories - Serpent, Gas, On Road, National, Racing - comments closed 
Het serpent rapporteert over Duitse Regionals voor het gebied van het Westen waarbij Michael Salven in actie tijdens het weekend was. De bestuurder van het fabrieksSerpent was unstoppable rond het netelige en het eisen spoor Dormagen die TQ nemen en het ras wint samen met het plaatsen van een nieuw spoorverslag met zijn Serpent 960 ′ 08. Salven wint werd gesteund door een grote aandrijving van motor stemmende guru Karl Heinz Meister die de agenten op vlek met nieuwe Herder eiste die Christian Wurst in derde ondertekent.

MLC 1/8th Peugeot 908 bodyshell Categories - MLC, Bodies, On Road, Products - comments closed
Gezien in Trofeo MLC & Tornado van het vorige weekend, was de looppas in RME het spoor van Lamberto `Collari' om titels van het Kampioenschap van de Wereld van Collari te vieren 8, nieuwe Peugeot 908 1/8ste shell van het schaallichaam van MLC. Gemaakt door Bergonzoni en reeds het verschijnen op Efra- lijst van goedgekeurde lichaamsshells voor de 1/8ste klasse, dit nieuwe is shell ongebruikelijk in zoverre dat het een volledige cockpit heeft. Deze terloopse opmerking, het lichaam is hoofdzakelijk shell van Lola CanAm, alhoewel een stabieler beetje. De race zelf werd gewonnen door Lamberto, die nieuwe natuurlijk shell in werking stelde, terwijl de hierboven getoonde versie tot Andrea Pirani behoort die derde beëindigde.

2008 Litouwse Open Ingezetenen Categories - Electric, On Road, National, Racing - comments closed 
De 6de en definitieve ronde van het Litouwse Nationale binnenkampioenschap werd in werking gesteld vorige Zondag in Vilnius en wij ontvingen dit rapport. `De het Reizen klasse van de Voorraad werd overheerst al seizoen door Tomas Riūka drijvend een HPI PRO4. Uit de 5 rondes die won Tomas 4 tellen, maar hij zei de „slag voor titel niet zo gemakkelijk zoals geschenen was. De concurrenten waren uiterst sterk en zetten heel wat druk op me bij elk ras maar zoals in om het even welke vorm van het rennen van het belangrijke ding verenigbaar te blijven en vrije fout“ was. De tweede vlek in de reeks werd genomen door Donatas Katilauskas met een Tamiya TRF415 MSX die enkel erachter in het algemene kampioenschap was, terwijl de 3de plaats tot HB de bestuurder Robertas Daskevičius van de Cycloon behoorde. In 1/12ste Mod. was het Corally bestuurder Mindaugas Ambrasas die het kampioenschap na het overheersen van de reeks won, winnend alle rondes. He had this to say “I had a really bad day at 6th round but managed to win it. I also enjoy that the competition is growing stronger and the class is also growing in number. Next season won’t be easy”. The runner up spot in this class was taken by Lithuanian RC Cars Association president Evaldas Urbonas while the 3rd spot went to Latvian racer Janis Klimenkovs, who showed better speed than Urbonas, but missed number of races and therfore lost crucial amount of points.’

Peter Jovanovic joins Team Xray Categories - Xray, On Road, Racing, Drivers - comments closed
Xray have announced that top Australian Touring car racer Peter Jovanovic has joined Xray to race their NT1 and T2008 chassis’. One of Australia’s youngest and most celebrated on road Champions, he has a long string of State and National titles, as well as a 3rd place finish at the 2006 200mm World Championships.
Joining Team Xray has been a huge step in my racing career, I have had my eye on Xray for a while now and it is a huge relief joining and working together with such a high performance racing team. I had tested the T2008 and its smoothness and consistency was the first thing that made me know that Xray is going to make a big impact on my racing and take me another step further. Thanks to Xray and Custom Model Cars for making this all possible.

Diggity Designs B44 front shock tower Categories - Diggity Designs, Team Associated, Off Road, Products - comments closed 
More new stuff for the Associated B44 from Diggity Designs, following last weeks release of the LiPo mount for the car. The same company have now announced the release of this super strong and lightweight 4mm thick carbon fibre front shock tower. Looking a bit beefier than the stock version, this option part also features a 3rd upper shock absorber mounting hole for more tuning possibilities.

Viktor Wilck joins Speed Passion Categories - Speed Passion, Electric, On Road, Racing, Drivers - comments closed 
Following in the foot steps of his Tamiya team mate Jilles Groskamp, Viktor Wilck has signed a deal to use Speed Passion motors for the rest of the season, with an option for 2009. Formerly running with the Team Orion units, the Swedish driver who won the DHI Cup earlier this year, was using the new motors for the first time at last weekends LRP race in which he finished in 3rd position.
