Andreassen wins Norwegian Nats Rd1 Andreasen gana noruego Nats RD1 Categories - Electric, On Road, National, Racing , trackback
We received a report from the 2nd round of the Norwegian Nationals that was held in Spydeberg, 40 min south of Oslo, at SMK’s large track. With the heat the country is experience over the last couple of weeks, tire wear was one of the big questions coming into the event. In qualifying it was Eirik Andreassen, racing a Tamiya, who was the fastest followed by Kjell Guttormsen in 2nd and John Lara in 3rd. Most of the driver used only 1 set of tires in qualifying and the most popular tire was Sorex 36. The Spydeberg track is a large track with long straights and few turns, but a demanding track to race on since some chicanes are difficult to take speed through them. After some crashes in the start Eirik Andreassen managed to pull away from the rest of the field, leaving Kjell Guttormsen and Goran Langsholt behind, followed by Petter Berntsen who was best Xray driver on the day in 4th. We had a clean start, and again Eirik Andreassen pulled away from the rest followed by John Lara in 2nd and Goran Langsholt in 3rd, and again Petter Berntsen managed to get a top spot. The last final was open for the runners up spot, and 3 drivers had the chance to take it, making for an exciting final. La última final estaba abierto para los corredores de terreno, y 3 conductores tuvieron la oportunidad de tomarlo, lo que hace para un emocionante final. John Lara and Kjell Guttormsen had a nice clean fight for 2nd place, after 3.5 minutes and with only 1 sec separating the 2, the driving was superb. Juan Lara y Kjell Guttormsen había una bonita lucha para limpiar 2 º lugar, después de 3,5 minutos y con sólo 1 segundo que separa las 2, la conducción fue excelente. On the last lap they had to overtake some back markers and John Lara was forced to get off the racing line and was caught on some dirt allowing Kjell Guttormsen to get away and secure 2nd place, leaving John Lara on 3rd.
