Lee Martin wins European ‘B’ title Martin Lee remporte européenne "B" titre Categories - Gas, Off Road, International, Racing , trackback
The European ‘B’ Championships for 1/8th scale buggy were run last weekend at the USBRC’s track in Bergerac, France. Le Conseil européen «B» pour les Championnats du buggy 1/8th échelle ont été organisés le week-end dernier à la USBRC la voie à Bergerac, France. Qualifying saw a close battle between Associated driver Lee Martin and Losi racer Darren Bloomfield, both from the UK, as well as Czech driver Martin Bayer. Qualification a vu une bataille étroite entre associés conducteur Lee Martin et Losi coureur Darren Bloomfield, à la fois du Royaume-Uni, ainsi que pilote tchèque Martin Bayer. In the end it was Lee that took an easy pole position ahead of Bayer, who managed to claim the spot from Bloomfield in the last round of qualifying, demoting Darren to the 3rd spot. En fin de compte, il a été Lee qui a eu un facile pôle position devant de Bayer, qui a réussi à revendiquer la place de Bloomfield dans le dernier tour de qualification, Darren demoting à la 3e place. Following the semi’s, the final saw Lee and Darren immediately shot off into the lead of the 45 minute race. Après la demi, la dernière a vu Lee et Darren immédiatement tourné vers la direction de l'interruption de 45 minutes course. Darren worked his way passed Lee in the early stages, but problems following the first refuelling dropped him down the order and gave Lee some breathing space at the front. Darren a travaillé son passé Lee au début, mais des problèmes après la première ravitaillement en carburant a chuté à lui l'ordre et Lee a donné l'espace de respirer de l'air à l'avant. Darren would eventually work his way back to the front, managing to come from 10th to take 2nd in the last 5 minutes of the race. Darren finirait par travailler son retour au premier plan, la gestion à venir du 10 au prendre la 2ème dans les 5 dernières minutes de la course. Lee Martin took the win, and the European title, ahead of Bloomfield in 2nd, 2 laps back, with French racer Romain Soret in 3rd, 1 lap further back. Lee Martin a pris la victoire, et le titre européen, avant de Bloomfield en 2ème, 2 tours en arrière, avec le français Romain Soret course en 3e, 1 tour plus loin.
