Connolly doubles up at Irish Nats Rd4

Serpent have a report on the 4th round of the Irish Nationals that saw Serpent racer Clive Connolly in dominant form as he claimed his second consecutive double victory, winning both the 1/8th and 1/10th 200mm A Finals. A strong drive by Connolly in the 1/10th scale final saw him pass former National Champion Chris Steele and standings leader Eoin Doran to cruise home to a one lap winning margin over Steele’s Kyosho, with Keith Dempsey claiming his first ever National Championship podium finish in 3rd. Starting from pole in the 1/8th scale final, Connolly, who has a perfect winning record this season, stormed to yet another victory setting the fastest lap of the race to head home a Serpent 1-2 as young Sean Doyle claimed yet another strong podium finish ahead of Kyosho driver Nico Azzariti in 3rd.
