DXF Streto Vortex & Megatron chassis’ Categories - Cars, DXF, Electric On Road, Gas On Road, Products , trackback
New from French Classic chassis manufacturer, and newly crowned French National champion, DXF comes the Streto Vortex Chassis. Based on the company’s Primo chassis and developed with the help from a Ferrari engineer the car features a rear diffuser which is an essential part of the chassis and doesn’t just look good but helps with the performance too. Showing that DXF is at the leading edge of development in the Classic class, they have also developed the Megatron which uses a brushless system resulting in the same performance as a nitro car, together with 20 minutes run time.

This certainly seems to be a development worth taking note of. I would like to know about the rear diffuser’s role on performance please.

OK so i have talked with the guys at DXF and this car is meant to be 1.5 seconds a lap quicker than their previous model because of the changes. In tests using CAO and DAO help from Ferrari development, they found it adds 130kg of pressure in the big curves, so it makes a fairly substantial difference.

The performance might be the same as a Nitro powered pan chassis dxf car, but it by far doesn’t have the performance of a 4WD full suspension 1/8 scale car…..
Wow, what an advertisement for nitro :/
