GRP back in business as MRP

GRP back in business as MRP

GRP are back in business, at least as far as their tire brand is concerned, with production once again underway. Some tire ranges are available right now while others will come later in the summer and the newly name MRP S.r.l. has decided to cease its production of engines for good after the molds and machinery were destroyed. With both Gandini brothers still in charge and the staff unchanged, the tire quality will once again be top notch and they will carry through with their new pricing strategy introduced in January of this year together with sales going through their own website, expected to be online by the end of this month.

Following our official statement dated 1st of June, after the horrible event which has involved our factory, we have managed to reorganize ourselves and to constitute a new company which has taken over the tire project, to follow up the production under GRP brand. The most important thing is that our staff has not changed since both Gandini’s are always in charge of the GRP Tyres’ project, to guarantee once again quality products, which has always distinguished GRP brand.

Concerning our engine line we have decided to cease the production for good, mainly because all machinery and tools were destroyed in the fire along with all our stock of spare parts.

These are all details of our new company:
MRP S.r.l. (Where MRP stands for Model Racing Production)
Via Henry Dunant, 49
46040 Guidizzolo
Mantova
Italy

VAT number (New!): IT02263020204
Tel.(New!): 00 39 0376 847417
Fax (New!): 00 39 0376 847306
E-mail (New!): info@grpgandini.it
E-commerce (New!): www.grpgandini.it

Therefore, from now on all orders will be invoiced as MRP Srl and you should use only and exclusively the new bank’s details for all your future payments, that you will receive with our pro-forma invoice after the receipt of your order.

Our restart is very difficult and it will take place step by step. You find here our production program, to have an approximate idea of when each of the following line is in production again:

1:5 TC – Now!
1:8 Rally – Now!
1:8 Buggy – End of June! (Including our new Plus and Cayman models)
1:5 Buggy – Middle of July!
1:8 On road – End of July!
1:10 TC nitro – End of July!
1:10 TC electric – End of July!
1:5 F1 – End of July!
Gadgets Line – From January 2010!

In spite of all our difficulties that have increased all production costs, we have decided to maintain our pricing policy as it went into force starting from January 2009.

Concerning our new e-commerce, it was ready to be up and running but now we need some days more to modify it according to our latest production schedule and we reckon to be able to have it on-line by the end of June. However, we will let you know the exact date for it with a separate e-mail.

We do apologize for all inconvenience caused and we take this occasion to thank once again all drivers, customers and friends who are encouraging us to keep going in this difficult time.

In faith,
Maurizio & Stefano Gandini

Hmmm.. 3 weeks and they have formed a new company, assuming they have retooled, secured and moved into premises and started production…
Excellent organization

Not a good organization at all. Just think of everyone out there like myself that invested in a GRP engine and has now just lost all future support and spare-parts availability.
I hope everyone reading these comments realize that the ‘accident’ that was the fire at GRP Gandini may actually be a misnomer. There are many conspiracies out there regarding this but the truth of the matter is that GRP had their backs against the wall for a little while now and were on the brink of receivership. Now, this little ‘accident’ has taken care of part of their business (gotta love insurance) but Gandini has now basically shat in the faces of all GRP engine owners due to the discontinuation of the engine line and support therein.
Thanks for nothing GRP. I hope at least, the match-holder burnt the tips of their fingers.

Is GRP a credit company ?
Are they they in very bad situation, and bad to no money to pay for $5000?
