HPI Racing Blitz Short Course truck

HPI Racing Blitz Short Course truck

HPI Racing have released the Blitz, the company’s entry into the Short course racing truck market. The Blitz features an all-new main chassis based on the E-Firestorm, that has been lengthened to deliver the most stable feel a short-course truck can offer. Using nothing but the finest grade, high-impact nylon plastic on the most critical areas of the truck, from the bumpers to the super beefy arms and everything in between. HPI’s industry known strength and durability makes the Blitz friendly for all – be it an R/C newcomer, or the skilled competitor. Sporting high performance shocks, the threaded shock bodies feature super smooth shock action as well as quick, on-the-fly, adjustability. Factory installed quick-change 3-degree rear toe block provides you with plenty of traction, and making changes is easy. HPI have teamed up with Maxxis International, a full scale global tire manufacturer, for a collaborative effort to reproduce in scale form, Maxxis Trepador tires for 2009 Fall release of this car.

Sure looks better, overall, and quality-wise than the losi Strike. I think this is great coming from HPI, should be another quality piece with a solid feel to it.

WOW… this sure looks nice! I’ll for sure have to set the slash aside for a while and drive one of these.

HMMM… Looks familiar!?!?! AE RIP OFF!!!

4. M. B. - July 24th, 2009 at 23:50

Its not an AE rip off, they based it on the Firestorm truck, just like Associated based theirs on the RC10-T and Traxxas on the Rustler/Stampede. Nothing new just following other Companies lead. The more chassis the better!

Looks like we already have a split in the SCT camp. One side led by the Slash, a venerable, durable, basher that can race. The other led by the SC-10, a Racer through and through. Neither is a bad choice and the Strike and this new Blitz will make weekends as much fun as they were when I was kid.

Now we just need so 4WDs. Heheh.

I absolutely agree with RockyYB……4wd would be a ground breaker :)
