Frank Root wins JBRL Electric Rd5

Frank Root wins JBRL Electric Rd5

The Jimmy Babcock Racing League kicked off the second half of the 2010 season at Pegasus Hobbies Saturday, July 3rd. A new layout was in place, and the track was nice and smooth needing to be watered throughout the day to ensure premium traction. Team Losi Racing team drivers Frank Root, Ryan Dunford, Casper Nielson, Aaron Lane, Keith Whisler and Michael Gonzales were all on hand to represent and support Team Losi Racing customers.

Frank would pick up where he left of in the 4wd Mod Class. Starting second on the grid, Frank made a quick pass on Jeff Nicol and moved into the lead before the end of the first lap! Frank would easily pull away and will by more than 15 seconds! Frank and his Xcelorin Powered XXX-4 G+ are still perfect, now 5 of 5 in 2010 along with 2 TQ’s! Aaron Lane also has a great run in 2wd Super Stock. Qualifying 2nd on the grid, Aaron was able to push the pole sitter (Chris Jarosz) into a mistake giving Aaron a small lead.  Although Chris was able to run some quick laps, Aaron’s consistent and mistake free race allowed him to cross the start finish line first for the win! The Team will have a few weeks off until the next JBRL, but won’t be able to rest. The 2010 Hot Rod Hobbies Off-Road Shootout will be attended fully by Team Losi Racing July 14-18, so look for them atop the podium.
