VRC Pro striving for ultimate realism

VRC Pro striving for ultimate realism

In the quest for the ultimate in realism VRC have announced that they have taken every step necessary to ensure the long awaited release of VRC Pro will feature the latest technologies across all classes. This is especially relevant for electric touring cars, which when modeling for the game started nearly 4 years ago all cars in this class were running NiMh batteries and brushed motors. The cars that will be used in the game will of course feature the now standard LiPo cells and brushless motors. From a physics point of view there are only small differences between NiMh and LiPo but they still need to do more research on the discharge curves. With the brushless motors however more work has to be done on the speed controllers with the variable timing and how timing affects heat build-up on the motor. We hear that the game is close to completion and will go in to the Alpha test phase next month with the goal being for a full release in January.

For sure the graphic and idea is very nice, no question.
But the support from VRC is bad if you ask when the pro version will be released. Almost two years they are announcing and announcing, and nothing happens…..not very good!

Ohh cool at the rate VRC is going we may see a new version sometime around fall 2014………….Great job VRC crew you have shown the rest of the industry the way in procrastination, and overall laziness. If VRC were a real computer gaming company they would have been done before they started. Poor form! It’s unfortunate that they have a monopoly, and are able to keep everyone on their toes for years at a time. I wish a real gaming company would step in and squash these morons………..

Then we would have had this title two and a half years ago……

Thanks for nothing VRC, you will never see another dime from me!!

Great graphics but where are the screenshots from the actual game?

It’s kinda strange that a software company cannot tell a real release date for its product …

6. sedo - September 16th, 2010 at 09:14

Absolute tosh, been waiting for this to come out forever, don’t build your hopes up on the release date

7. Dr. Astro - September 16th, 2010 at 13:09

stop changing it & release it already …

8. bored, still waiting - September 16th, 2010 at 15:53

yawn – great graphics? The cars shown early 2010 late 2009 look higher detail than this 416x – Not that I actually care about these ‘in game menu’ details, the physics and in game graphics are all that count.

Pull you finger out and take my money, PLEASE!!!!

9. Jacko - September 16th, 2010 at 17:58

I guess it’s still so “buggy” (don’t me the offroad buggy) that it cannot be released, otherwise they would I believe.

Is this the same team that is working on Duke Nukem Forever???

VRCPro is the second best vaporware I know!

mmmm, getting very bored with al these so called release dates. It has taken so long I have lost interest now.

Terrible shame as it a great sim, pity. Ithink we can all say that VRC pro team you are a bit of a disappointment to us. I hope you are just as embarassed.

I pesonally dont think it will ever come out, probably a PR exercise to get people to latch on to the original version under the impression there will be a update soon. I dont think so!

january when? 2015?

Given that the car internals will not be rendered during racing, I don’t see the point or fuss of yet more photorealistic pit beauty shots.

They should spend that effort releasing the thing or on better physics that will actually benefit the game/racing. They are spending their efforts on CFD cloth simulations of the pit towel.

What a bunch of moaners. People trying to produce something special and you all behave like spoilt kids, what does it matter how long it takes.

15. Trevor - September 21st, 2010 at 23:24

Well Chris, I have been waiting a few years!!! for VRC pro.

it does matter how long it takes, you dont live forever!!!!!!!!

anyway why am I getting fussed, it doesn’t exist anyway, all lies to keep you interested in the original sim.
