Simões & Miguel wins Portuguese TC season opener

Round 1 of the Portuguese Electric touring car nationals took place last weekend and the stock class was dominated by Jorge Simões with his Associated TC6. Topping the time sheets in 2 heats secured the TQ spot followed closely by Bruno Castela with a Hot Bodies TCX. Going into the mains the domination continued as Jorge won the first 2 A mains to secure 1st overall, with Bruno holding second place with a victory on the 3rd A main, Mário Coelho got his hands on 3rd spot.

3. Mário Coelho – Robitronic Avid/Speed Passion

In the modified class, Helder Silva showed good speed in qualifying and with fine driving got the TQ spot for the final but a terrible mistake in the last and decisive main let Hugo Miguel to take victory with Helder dropping to 3rd place overall. Rúben Francisco also benefitted, securing the 2nd place.
