Pietsch holds provisional TQ in Miami
Robert Pietsch holds provisional TQ honours for the 2011 IFMAR 1:8 Onroad World Championships at the end of the first day of qualifying. The German was fastest in both the rounds that made up today’s schedule but it was his Q1 time that puts him top of the ranking ahead of Dario Balestri, Atsushi Hara and Takaaki Shimo.

Pietsch TQs opening Qualifier in Miami
2008 World Championship Top Qualifier Robert Pietsch has topped the opening round of qualifying at the 18th IFMAR 1:8 Onroad World Championship. The reigning European Champion was fastest from 2008 finalist Dario Balestri and class newcomer Atsushi Hara, the three being the only drivers to record 37 laps.

Schumacher Mi4CX soft weave chassis plates
Schumacher have announced two new chassis plates for their Mi4CX touring car. The new chassis features a different material construction compared to their standard kit configuration and has been under development by their team for several months and used by Martin Hofer to take his 2 recent victories in the ETS series. The chassis is softer in side to side twist yet stiffer forward to back, preventing flex under hard acceleration and braking. Overall testing has shown this will give the cars more traction under the majority of conditions. Available in 2mm and 2.5mm versions.

Blazej Orlowski takes Polish indoor title
Last weekend saw the Polish Indoor On-Road Championships final race, which took place on carpet in Warsaw. In the fastest 1/10 touring Open Stock class, the whole podium went to Tamiya TRF 417 drivers, with top qualifier Blazej Orlowski taking the race win and with it the championship title. Second place went to Michal Orlowski with Maciek Brzozowski in 3rd. In the junior class 7-year old Maciek Kajko, who was second in the race, took the champion title. Second place went to Kuba Sienica with his brother Mikolaj Sienica in 3rd. And finally in the E-12 class the title went to Lukasz Kowalczyk in front of Grzegorz Kopertowski in 2nd and Patryk Raczynski in 3rd.

Disassembling a rod, sleeve and the combustion chamber becomes simple when you have the right tool.
