Simões & Miguel take Portuguese Rd2 victory

Round 2 of the Portuguese Nationals took place recently at the Sintra track in Lisbon. The stock class was again dominated by Jorge Simões with his Associated TC6 securing TQ and the overall win. This time Mário Coelho was the man that challenged Jorge in the Finals, with Mário winning the first A-main but then some accidents in A-main 2 took him out of contention. In the last A-main Mário followed Jorge in the last 4 minutes, but the Associated driver never gived a space for the Tamiya of Mário to pass and secured the win and provisional leadership of the championship.

2. Mário Coelho – Tamiya/Speed Passion
3. José Figueiredo – Xray/Tekin

In the modified class, Helder Silva showed top form again and with a fine drive claimed the TQ spot, his 2nd in a row this season. In the finals Hugo Miguel dind’t give a chance for the Schumacher driver to turn his TQ into the overall win and with his perfect driving style took home the win and provisional lead in the championship.
