Xray RX8 middle shaft holder & optional belts
Xray have released this aluminium front middle shaft holder for the RX8, which includes and lightweight aluminium collar – short, composite bushings and 6×13 high-speed ball-bearings. The lightened locating collar is made from tough 7076 T6 aluminium, while composite bushings secure ball-bearings in both sides of the hub carrier allowing perfect fitment and smooth operation to ultimately impart much higher lifetime compared to bearings installed directly into aluminium. The ultra-strong construction of the premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum front middle shaft holder provides very long life and durability. Xray have also released a complete line of high-performance kevlar reinforced optional belts for the RX8.

Good plan Xray. Design a predominantly composite car; then once people buy the car slowly release aluminium parts for it….

Yep, and according to diplomated Chief Engineer, ir., ing., dr., drs, mr, Hudy, (did I mention he was diplomated?) Composite is better then Aluminium, so they are weakening the car…..
