Mugen MTX-5 of Robert Pietsch
With World Champion on road racer Robert Pietsch visiting the offroad Euros last week in Germany, he brought along with him the all new MTX-5 1/10th 200mm chassis for us to take a look at. Having written about the car previously there is no need to go into details about its unique features other than to say that the whole package looks pretty good in the flesh. We are told that the car is close to hitting the shops and for next week’s European Championships in Ettlingen, Germany the car will make its international race debut in the hands of Pietsch, the car in the photos is his race car, Rick V and Francesco Tironi. You can follow our coverage of this race and follow the progress of the new car on our Events page from Wednesday the 17th onwards.

Craftsmanship is a bit crude compared to the Xray NT1 but the design is brilliant. Can’t wait for the aftermarket titanium, aluminum and special composite parts.
