Evans & Cavalieri on top at Spektrum Champs
The 2011 Spektrum Off-Road Championships were held December 1-4 at Trackside Hobbies & Raceway in Milwaukee, WI. World Famous Race Director and THR owner Scotty Ernst would have a huge turnout at this years event reaching an amazing 407 total race entries. For Sunday’s main events, Modified Truck, 4wd Modified Buggy and 2wd Modified Buggy would all have 5-minute triple A-mains to decide the winners while in the 2wd Modified Short Course, 4×4 Modified Short Course and all Stock Classes they would run 1 single 7-minute A-Main.
In the Modified Truck class TLR/Team Orion’s Dustin Evans would take the overall TQ in the class. Evans would then go on to win A-Main 1 and 2 to take home the Championship ahead of Ryan Cavalieri in 2nd and Mike Truhe in 3rd.

In Modified 4wd Buggy TLR/Team Orion’s Dustin Evans would again dominate qualifying and take the overall TQ. Evans would once again take the win in A-Main 1 and 2 to take home his 2nd Spektrum Off-Road Championship of the weekend.

The 2wd Modified Short Course class saw AE/Team Orion’s Ryan Cavalieri take the overall TQ in this class. In the 7-minute single A-Main, Cavalieri went onto lead every lap and would also be the only driver to make it by for the extra lap to guarantee him the Championship.

In 2wd Modified Buggy AE/Team Orion’s Ryan Cavalieri who would again take the overall TQ in this premier class. Cavalieri would win A-Main 1 with Evans finishing 2nd. In A-main leg 2 Evans would then go onto win A-Main 2 with Cavalieri finishing 2nd setting up an exciting 3rd leg. Cavalieri would go onto lead every lap and take home the win along with his 2nd Spektrum Off-Road Championship of the weekend

In 2wd Stock Buugy privateer Andy Krivitz would take the overall TQ honors. Andy would then go onto dominate the 7-minute A-Main with his Team Orion R10 ESC in the non-timing 17.5 class, taking full advantage of the ultra smooth hi-power output.
