Mike Gosvig wins Danish 1/8th EP Nats Rd5

The round 5 of Danish national 1:8 electric buggy was held in Hillerod, on a nice and new track build for this year and Mike Gosvig wrote the following report. ‘The track is huge and have som good technical sections, high speed, low grip, medium grip and high grip. The day before the race I had very good set up and XB8E was outstanding, but as we come to race in the morning, the track was very wet because of heavy rain in the night, the race was delayed for 2 hour to track drying, after that the race was on! I have change some weight in my car for better balance in the air and won the qualy.

First final was very good for me, I could make a big gap, and my car was so fast and easy to drive as i made fastest laptime on the track and also won this final with 19 seconds down to number 2. Rasmus had some good battles and goes from 6 to 5 in this first final, good pace also from Rasmus.

Second final was harder for me as i made a wrong tire choice and car was very hard to drive, I end 3rd in this main, with Rasmus showing good driving and was only 4 seconds behind me in 4th. Magnus who crashed the car in the first main won this final in front of Jan. D Hansen and Rune.

Last final I made a little mistake on 2nd lap and Jan overtook me and behind me was Magnus. I was putting Jan under pressure as i was a lot faster, and after some laps Magnus got some electric problems and was out of the main – and also the podium. I was able to overtake Jan, on the 3 bump out on the astro-grass main straight, and then we have some close racing, until I was able to make some good laps to win this main 6 seconds in front of Jan, and Rune in 3rd. Rasmus agian showed good driving and made an 5th this round.
