Robert Batlle makes it 9 in a row

Mugen’s Robert Batlle has secured his 9th Spanish national title in a row after winning the 3rd round of the Spanish 1/8th off-road nationals this past weekend. Held in Redovan, Alicante on a large and challenging track the race was first dominated by Oscar and Bryan Baldo with Oscar taking the TQ and Brian the pole position for the final while Batlle only started from 7th into the main. During the final Bryan Baldo, Robert Batlle and Jose Escudero swapped positions several times and nothing was decided until the last lap when Robert was able to pass Bryan after the then-leader crashed. At the end Robert took the day’s win in this 3rd out of four rounds this year to take the national title early. Bryan Baldo finished 2nd while Jose Escudero completed the podium.
