5th Annual January Jam – Report

The fifth Annual January Jam Race was held at the Fabulous Flowood R/C Indoor Park this past weekend with 285 entries running 13 classes. While Cole Ogden came out successful in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class it was Tekno’s Ryan Lutz who swept the 1/8th Nitro Truggy, 1/8th Electric Buggy and 1/8th Electric Truggy classes. In the progress he also came out on top of the field in 1/10th 4WD SCT. Behind Lutz (Tekno) Cole Ogden (TLR) and Chandler Elliot (TLR) rounded out the podium in the 1/8th Truggy class. The Mugen duo of Marc Beck Robbie Darby (Mugen) completed the top 5 result.

In 1/8th Electric Buggy winner Ryan Lutz (Tekno) was sidelined on the podium by Jake Dellinger (Mugen) and 3rd Martin Harrison (TLR). 4th placed Blake Boggs (Team Associated ) had William Ables (Team Associated) in 5th in tow.

The 1/8th Electric Truggy race had Ryan Lutz (Tekno) coming in 1st followed by Martin Harrison (TLR) and Kevin McCoy (Tekno). Billy Duplessis (TLR) and Issac Clapp (Mugen) rounded out the top 5.

In 1/10th 4WD SCT it was again Ryan Lutz (Tekno) who came out successful, this time in front of Chris Rakus (Tekno) and John Ball (TLR). Martin Harrison (TLR) and Aaron Royton (Tekno) came in 4th and 5th respectively.

The 1/10th 4WD Buggy class was won by Hal Martin (Kyosho) from William Ables (Team Associated) and Lee Thompsoh (Xray). Greg Gatewood (Hot Bodies) and Brian Dickenson (TLR) made it into 4th and 5th at the end.

1/10th 2WD Buggy was also won by Hal Martin (Kyosho) with William Ables (Team Associated) making the runner-up spot. Brian Dickenson (TLR) in 3rd, John Walters (Team Associated) in 4th and 5th placed Rob Jensen (Team Associated) rounded out the top 5 result.

Finally in 1/10 2WD SCT Aaron Royston (Tekno) took the winning honors from John Walters (Team Associated) and Will Kidder (TLR) in 3rd. Demarco Pendarvis (TLR) and Peyton Puckett (TLR) came in 4th and 5th respectively.
