Marco Kaufmann wins at MCSS-Open

The AME MCSS-Open was held in Althengstett, Germany with 135 drivers in attendance split into three categories including Touring Car Modified, a class that attracted a good turnout of internationally experienced drivers including 200mm Nitro Touring Car Worlds TQ Dominic Greiner. The first three qualifiers were dominated by Tim Wahl but the only 27 laps run of the weekend ultimately handed Marco Kaufmann the overall TQ for the finals.

The opening A-main of the Modified class saw Tim Wahl taking the win from Dominic Greiner after a big pile-up at the start had TQ Marco dropping to the end of the field. A2 then saw Tim dropping back following an early crash with Dominic taking the win from Marco. Before the last and decisive final Tim, Dominic and Marco all had the chance to take the overall victory and a flawless drive of Marco handed him the day’s win from Dominic Greiner and Thilo Tödtmann.
