Cactus Classic sees 4 different winners in Mod classes

The 2015 edition of the prestigious Cactus Classic was held this past weekend at SRS Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona. The five 1/10th Modified classes saw four different winners with Ty Tessmann coming out successful in the 2WD Modified Buggy class racing a prototype HB 2WD buggy. Team Associated’s Ryan Cavalieri came in 2nd while Yokomo’s Lee Martin rounded out the podium.

In the 4WD Modified Buggy class Ryan Cavalieri put his Team Associated B44.3 buggy on top of the podium with Jared Tebo (Kyosho) and Ty Tessmann coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The Modified Truck class podium saw Ryan Maifield (TLR) on top followed by Ryan Cavalieri (Team Associated) and Jared Tebo (Kyosho).

It was also Ryan who put his TLR 22SCT 2.0 on top of the 2WD Modified Short Course class, making him the only multi-title winner in the Modified classes. TLR teammate Dustin Evans came in 2nd while Jared Tebo rounded out the podium for Kyosho.

Last but not least in the 4WD Modified Short Course class Dakotah Phend (TLR) took the winning honours in front of Serpent’s Jörn Neumann and David Jenson (TLR).
