2015 Czech Electric On-Road Nationals – Report

The 2015 Czech Electric On-Road Nationals were hosted by the RC Team Rychvald club, attracting 80 drivers from all over the country to race in a high-class indoor facility. In the premier class of Touring Car Modified Marek Cerny set the early pace, but Kuba Simurda was pretty close. The qualifying then saw Kuba taking the TQ from Jirka Vysin and Marek Cerny and this order would not change after the finals handing, Kuba Simurda the title from runner-up Jiri Vysin and Marek Cerny.

In the Touring Car Stock class Jarda Kopecky dominated the qualifiers to take the TQ and he went on to win A1 and A2 to take the overall win with one leg to go. The vice-championship was taken by Ales Pelikan after a close fight with Jiri Tlusty who rounded out the top 3 result.

In the 1/12th class Kuba Simurda dominated the race and this allowed him to take an easy win from Ales Pelikan and Jiri Tlusty.

In the 2WD GT class Ondrej Kulhanek came out successful from title candidate Vita Hola while Roman Krejci rounded out the top 3 result. The slower GT Stock class was under control of Andrej Vnucko in front of local racer Libor Holub and Martin Kucera who came in 3rd. In the Formula class, run on foam tyres, Ludek Szotek came in 1st followed by Roman Kavan and Ivo Trojan while in the Formula True class, run on rubber tyres, Marie Szostkovova set the pace to take the win. TQ holder Vita had to settle for 2nd, Libor Holub finished in 3rd respectively. Finally in the Hobby class young and talented Matej Matlak took the win from Vlastimil Svec Jan Kosik.
