Xray Challenge Grand Final – Report

The Grand Final of the Xray Challenge was held on the outdoor track of the Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin, Slovakia. Good mood, fantastic atmosphere, nearly perfect weather conditions and great racing performances from the drivers made for a fantastic event that attracted both local racers and Xray’s international racing team. In the 1/8th Nitro class Tomas Krägefski won the race after a thrilling last lap when he was able to pass Tomas Liptak for the lead. Veteran racer Igor Liptak rounded out the podium in 3rd spot.

Bruno Coelho also took the win in the Electric Touring Car Modified class to further demonstrate his recent performance on asphalt. Bruno and Alex both showed some great racing with the crowd cheering and asking for more. Ultimately Bruno took the win from Alexander Hagberg with Martin Hudy finishing in 3rd place.

The Touring Car Stock category belonged to Mike Gosvig who scored wins in the first and second leg to take the overall win. In 2nd place another young Xray talent, 10-years old Oliver Havranek, showed a very good pace. The 3rd place on the podium was grabbed by Czech Modified star Jarda Kopecky.
