Griffin Hanna doubles at Spring Sting

The annual Spring Sting was held at The Badlands in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a total of 214 entries. With the race being a one day event and so many people, the organisers choose to run only two rounds of rocket round qualifying and in Pro Electric Buggy, Serpent driver Griffin Hanna and John Michael Mcginty III would battle back and forth for the top spot. Ultimately John would grab the TQ spot after the two rounds.

For the 10-minute main tyre choice was up in the air. The track had a ton of grip during the day but temps cooled as the sun set. Hanna and Mcginty decided to go for the same tyres and the two would stay tight for the first few laps but John made a small bobble, which allowed Griff to get by and to grab the overall win.

For Pro Nitro Buggy, and in the first round, Griffin would grab the TQ spot but in round two Griff had a bad run and would not be able to defend his spot. Teammate Austin Woodyard would find himself in the hot spot and on a new TQ run. He would end up finishing 2 seconds behind Griff’s original time with an impressive run. In the main, Griff would then easily lead the pack around and would end up taking the win.
