During this weekend’s ROAR 1/8th Fuel Off-road Nationals at Thornhill Raceway in Hutto, Texas, JConcepts have introduced two new nitro off-road bodyshells. First up is the Strike 2 for the Team Associated RC8B3 buggy. The refinements done target especially towards lower grip tracks with the front pod “finger channels” and rear spoiler improving stability and traction on today’s high-speed tracks while also making for more downforce which is essential on lower grip surfaces.

Also new is the Finnisher body for the TLR 8ight-T 4.0, a redesign of the former 3.0 body. A narrower appearance better suites the slimmer 4.0 chassis while a reshaped rear end with fins make the body stand out. A new bead rail towards the back adds rigidity especially over time when the 3.0 tended to become a bit too flexible. Also part of the body are the roof centre fin with added rear fin behind the engine, both of which will improve straight line stability. The body is ready for production and it will hit stores shortly after the Nationals.
