Jitse Miedema doubles at Heemstede club race Rd5

The fifth round of the MAC Heemstede club race was held on the recently resurfaced MACH track. The new asphalt surface made traction conditions difficult and in the ETS spec Formula class it was Xray driver Jitse Miedema who took the TQ followed by Niels de Zwijger (CRC) with the latter scoring the fastest lap but on the expense of a consistent pace. In the 13.5 Touring class Jitse also took the TQ, followed by Roy Bakker.

In the Formula A-mains Jitse easily took the first leg after collisions of the drivers behind him. In the second final it was Niels who got past Jitse in the opening stages and he soon opened a gap on Jitse but the latter took the challenge and he passed Niels to take the overall win.

3. Ben Voorhaar – Xray X1
4. Randy van den Berg – Serpent
5. Edwin Neijenhoff – Serpent
6. Ernst Haaksman – Tamiya

In 13.5 Touring it was all Jitse’s race as he dominated the finals but the fight for the remaining podium spots was on and in a 3-horse race it was Thomas to take the runner-up spot from Martignoni and Thijs.
