Jefferies & Askell win at Livvies Smile race

Jefferies & Askell win at Livvies Smile race

The past weekend the Tamworth club held the annual Livvies Smile event. The race is an afternoon/evening event with a variety of classes. All the money raised from the drivers entry fee goes towards the charity helping disabled children which is a great cause. Olly Jefferies (Xray) took command of the 1/12th scale 6.5 class taking fastest time in every round of qualifying to line up a lap and half clear of the rest. Over in the 13.5 class Marcus Askell (Xray) would have a close battle with Mick Farrell (CRC) through qualifying to eventually line up second.

In the final Olly would ease away and take the victory from Mark Stiles (Yokomo) and Chris Kerswell (Roche). The 13.5 final would see Marcus put pressure on Mick before performing a great pass for the lead. Marcus would hold onto this lead until the end to take the win from Mick Farell with Nigel Hale (Team Associated) coming in third.
