Team Orion Revolution Race – Report

The inaugural Team Orion Revolution Race was held at Race Em RC in Rockford, Illinois over the weekend. The event attracted 237 total entries to race in several modified and stock classes and in the premier 2WD Modified class it was Team Associated’s Cole Tollard who took the TQ but the A-main win went to TLR’s Alejandro Vegas with TLR teammate Spencer Heckert coming in second. In third Brad Shearer (Team Associated) completed the podium result.

In the 4WD Modified Buggy class TQ Cole Tollard (Team Associated) brought home the win from second placed Brad Shearer (Team Associated) while Alejandro Vegas (TLR) rounded out the top 3.

In Modified Truck it was again Cole Tollard (Team Associated) who came out on top of the pack after the qualifiers and he would snatch his second title of the weekend in the A-main, taking the win from Alejandro Vegas (TLR) in second while Joe Pillars (Kyosho) had to settle for third.

4×4 Modified Short Course had Spencer Heckert taking the TQ and win from Jeremy Zucker in second and Eugene Ryder third.

In 2WD Modified Short Course Truck again the TQ holder also came out fastest in the final with Tim McCarthy bringing home the hardware from Kevin Kretsinger and Eugene Ryder in second and third respectively.

2WD Stock Short Course was won by Cody Lundberg from TQ Tater Sontag and John Ermer.

The 17.5T 2WD Buggy class was run with Team Orion handout motors and it saw young Tater Sontag taking the TQ and win from Casey Blasczyk and Tyler Busch. Tater would also sweep the 13.5T 4WD Buggy category with a TQ and win from Brian Lutz and Cody Lundberg.

Finally in 1/8th E-Buggy, Jared Wiggins took the TQ and win from Scott Cramer and Jeremy Zucker.
