Van Helmond & Ausloos win Belgian/Dutch Nats opener

The first round of the Belgian/Dutch National Electric Off-road Championship took place at the BPT track in Soignies. In the 2WD Buggy class Wesley van Helmond (Schumacher) took the TQ after the qualifiers in front of Thibault Jacqueloot (Team Associated) and Schumacher driver Brent Ausloos in 3rd. After some close racing Wesley would then also take the overall win after coming out fastest in the first two A-main legs. Thibault would end the day on the runner-up spot while Bruno Heremans (Team Associated) rounded out the podium in 3rd.

In the 4WD class Brent Ausloos (Schumacher) came out fastest after the qualifiers in front of Erik Michels (Xray) as Wesley van Helmond (Schumacher) rounded out the top 3. In the finals Wesley was able to challenge Brent for the win but ultimately the latter would prevail, taking the overall victory from Wesley and Erik.
