Swiss Electric On-road Nationals Rd2 – Report

The second round of the Swiss Electric On-road National Championship was held this past weekend. The HSH race track in Dintikon played host for the race that attracted more than 60 drivers to compete in the four classes of Touring Modified, Touring Pro Stock, Formula and Swiss GT. Michele Manzo was the man to beat in Touring Modified as he took the TQ and win from teammate Fabian Widmer while Boris Siladi had to settle for 3rd overall.

In Pro Stock young Giuliano Marra, who snatched the TQ, also took his first win this season after coming out on top in two of the three A-main legs. Roger Krähenmann ended the day on the runner-up spot from Markus Willinger in 3rd.

The Formula class had Leo Bottinelli lay down an impressive performance to take his second national win of the year although this time it was a hard-fought battle with Marc Pfenninger and Fabio Marzini. After the triple A-mains Leo would prevail to take the win from Fabio and Marc.

In Swiss GT Roger Eifler would secure himself the TQ and win in front of Christian Seiler and Carl-Friedrich Grössel.

For the first time also a special Rookie price was given to up and coming drivers with Sandro Paolozzi, Andreas Stalder and Giordano Marra picking up the silverware.

Thanks to Mario Hässig for the report.
