BRCA Touring Nationals Rd3 – Report

Round three of the BRCA touring nationals took place at the West London track and it marked the halfway point in the season. In Touring Modified Schumacher’s Elliott Harper arrived on a good run of form having won the BTCC round here the week before, but it was the Xray of Olly Jefferies that took TQ. In leg one the lead swapped between Jefferies and Harper before Olly dropped down the order. Leg two and more of the same but Harper came out on top to take the win. Irish driver Alan Bickerstaff (Team Associated) had one his best national results finishing 2nd with Jefferies having to settle 3rd. The Modified class is now tied at the top between Jefferies and Harper with two rounds to go.

Boosted Stock saw local Schumacher driver Paul Pinkney take the TQ and leg one of the A-final but in leg two it was championship leader Zak Finlay that took leg two and the overall win, the Xray driver finished ahead of young Xray driver Dan Blake with Pinkney completing the podium.

Markus Askell has been right on the pace in the Blinky class all season but has not turned that form into win, another TQ for Askell at West London this time was backed up by that long awaited win, as championship leader Colin Jackson finished 2nd with Billy Fletcher 3rd.

West London saw some great finals with close racing in technical track, the series now moves to the open fast Halifax track.
