Max Gotzl doubles at Czech Open Rd6

The sixth round of the Czech Open series took a place last weekend at the Horni Jeleni track. Slight rain on Friday made for perfect racing conditions on Saturday and it was local hero, Max Gotzl that made maximum use of it as he took the overall TQ in both the nitro and electric buggy class. Jiri Mara and Jiri Benes would come in 2nd and 3rd in the nitro class as Vaclav Broz and Michal Binder completed the electric top 3 after the qualifiers.

In the semi the fight for the pole position was on between Max and Jiri with Max holding the upper hand thanks to the fastest time. However Max would loose the 1 spot at the start of the A-main due to a small bobble but he would recover soon and from there it was pretty much smooth sailing for the young man who would ultimately bring home the win from Jiri Mara and Tomas Kapicka.

1/8th Nitro Buggy top 3 results:
1. Max Gotzl – Xray
2. Jiri Mara – SWorkz
3. Tomas Kapicka – Kyosho

The opening two E-Buggy A-mains then again went to the plan of Max who would score tone-to-tone wins as Vaclav and Michal rounded out the top 3.
