NRW Cup Rd2 – Report

The second round of the NRW Cup was held at the MACH-One track in Helmond, The Netherlands this past weekend. The event was held in good weather conditions and attracted some of the regions’s fastest 1/8th off-road drivers. In the Nitro Top category Jarno Pijpers was the man to beat and after a nice battle with Jeffrey Halsema for the last ten laps of the half-hour long A-main final, he would eventually take the day’s win with Jeffrey coming on the 2 spot. Rene van Schaijk came in 3rd, already two laps down.

Over in the Nitro Hobby class it was Sergio Freni with the win, some six seconds in front of Dominik Sistenich. Another 18 seconds behind John Sniekers completed the top 3 result.

Over in the E-Buggy class Sander van Genechten took the overall TQ and after the triple A-mains he would still be on top, thanks to winning A1 and A2 for the overall victory. Nikola Roso took A3 to cement his overall runner-up spot from Sascha Hellemeister in 3rd.

Thanks to John Sniekers for the report.
