Intellect have released a large new range of LiPo’s to the table for 2022. Covid-19 meant there was no new range for 2021 so this is the first update in 2 years. The batteries are identified by having metallic green labelling and have improved power from 2020 specs along with several new shapes to suit a wide range of classes. Rêve D have introduced this large capacity 5000mAh LiPo battery. Equipped with 100C high power delivery and a large capacity for longer runtime, it comes in the standard shorty size of 46.5 x 96 x 25mm. Compared to the current RB-37S (3700mAh) battery there is a weight difference of around 60g, making it possible to adjust the weight balance of the chassis and to comply with the minimum weight regulations at some competitions. The latest competition LiPo battery pack releases to Speedzone’s Evolution brand include a 2S slim pack, 2S shorty pack and a 4S pack. The 5500mAh 7.4V 130C slim pack measures 139×37.3×24.8mm and weighs 238g, the 5000mAh 7.4V 120C shorty pack measures 96×46.5×24.5mm and weighs 212g, and the 6000mAh 14.8v 120C pack measures 139x47x48mm and weighs in at 534g. CML Distribution have introduced two new Centro and a single Voltz 4S 14.8V hardcase LiPo battery pack for 1/8th scale applications. The Centro packs target competitive racing and are available as 7600mAh 100C and 6800mAh 75C variant, while the Voltz pack is built using 5000mAh 50C cells, making it ideal for demanding bash applications and RTR vehicles.
