Pesenti immediately took the lead of the race and built up a small advantage over Nydegger and Martinelli who were fighting for second position. …the battle for the top positions will be between Michele Manzo (Awesomatix) and Alessio Menicucci (Xray). Mattia Collina is also very close and at his debut with his new Schumacher proves to have found a good feeling. In 4th place was the Italian Campion Berselli (Awesomatix) followed by an always fit Romagnoli (Mugen). Jonatan Gandin as well as Alessio Mazzeo (Serpent) get involved in the electric category and do well. …was Chris Tosolini (Serpent) coming out on top in qualifying, taking the tie break with Paolo Morganti (Capricorn) who would have to settle for 2nd on the grid. In the hour long final however Morganti would win by 6 laps from Tosolini in 2nd, while Felix Law (Serpent) would come from 10th on the grid to claim the final podium spot in 3rd. In the 1/8th Masters class Chris Kemper (Capricorn) would win from pole position in front of the world famous Scotty Ernst (Infinity/Hot Race) in 2nd, a lap back, with Ashton Brinson (Capricorn) completing the top 3. The third round of this year’s Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the RC Center Skive last weekend. Sunday’s Nitro Buggy race was TQ’d and won by Pelle Culmsee (SWorkz) who had some issues in the semifinal and only started from P4 on the grid. However some ten laps into the 45-minute main final he was able to grab the lead and from there he never looked back to take the win some three laps in front of Magnus Frandsen (JQRacing) in 2nd. Nikolai Lamberts (Serpent) came in 3rd overall to round out the podium some 24 seconds back….

The Greve RC Center in Denmark held round 2 of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals this past weekend. The schedule for Saturday saw the running of the E-Buggy and Nitro Truggy classes and in E-Buggy it was Pelle Culmsee (SWorkz) with the overall TQ after winning three of the four qualifying rounds. The triple A-mains again saw Pelle leading the way and with wins in all three legs he brought home the win from Mikkel Vesterled (JQRacing) in 2nd and Thomas Hansen (SWorkz) in 3rd. Round 7 of the Dutch IC Track Nationals was held at the popular AMCA Apeldoorn track this past weekend. In the premier 1/8th NK class it was ARC’s Robbin Hertong with the overall TQ from Serpent’s own Michael Salven on the runner-up spot after the qualifiers. In the 30-minute A-main final it was again Robbin who would excel, taking the win some four laps in front of Jesse Keller (Shepherd) as Joey Sorber (Shepherd) completed the top 3 podium result in 3rd, another lap down. Round 4 of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was recently held at the Skanderborg RC club. Daniel Bubel (Xray) took the TQ in the Nitro Buggy class and he would start from 2nd into the 45-minute main final, just behind Xray’s Peter Harder. When the dust had settled, it was Daniel with the win, some two laps in front of Steffen Culmsee (SWorkz) as Jan D. Hansen (Serpent) came in 3rd to round out the podium. The recent fifth round of the Chilean National IC Track Championship saw Shepherd’s Alvaro Jara walking away with the win in the 30-minute 1/8th scale A-main event. Cristobal Ugarte (Serpent) came in 2nd, six laps down while Joaquin Silva completed the top 3 result, another five laps down.
