Manuel Tordi wins Italian AMSCI Classic title

The Road Race track in Riccione last weekend hosted the Italian AMSCI Championship for Classic 1/8th scale category. After a nice sunny Saturday of free practice, the 4 qualification heats of 7 minutes on Sunday morning begin under a cloudy sky but still run under dry weather conditions. At the end of the morning the pole position was taken by Muccini for the under 16 category, by Betankova for the over 40 category and for the 1/8 classic the 4 direct finalist were Giordano Simone (25 laps 7.08.312) followed by Gaggiola Paolo (25 laps 7.08.605) Burato Enrico (25 laps 7.12.486)…

2012 Motonica Trophy – Announcement

The ‘Mini Racing Ayrton Senna track’ in Melzo in Italy will play host to the 2012 Motonica Trophy, which will be run on the 17th to 18th of March. Open to 1/8 Onroad, 1/8 Classic and 1/10 Onroad, the race will consist of 4 minute heats and finals for everybody and each participant will receive a free set of tires. Motonica P8C 2 Extreme Classic chassis

…2 Extreme is designed for the highest level of competition. Updates include a new ‘Multi Frame’ chassis with PHS bending control system and a new ‘Hi-Torque’ front suspension plate with 4 adjustment points. A new suspension plate rotating on spherical supports instead of elastomer discs gives the benefit of having more precise movements. Other improvements include new fixing clamps for the body mount that soften the hopping of the car in the curves and new stronger versions of the front and rear hub mounts. Trofeo Motonica 2010 report

Last weekend saw the Trofeo Motonica take place at the Riccione track in Italy and attracted drivers across three categories 1/8th, 1/10th 200mm and 1/8th Classic. In the 1/8th scale 4wd class it was Maunel Tordi that took the win by over a lap from Paolo Maggioli in 2nd and Stefano Sammarini in 3rd, a lap further back. Pole man Sando Sammarini, easily the quickest man in the race, had to retire after only 6 minutes. Toy Fair 2010 – Motonica

Mark Green wins BRCA 1/8th Rd8

…19 Laps 301 10.Daniel Bancroft (Motonica/MAX) 19 Laps 303 The main final got underway from new grid positions around the infield to prevent the potential for a first corner crash and to allow the pit men to safely get back to the pit area. Mark Green upfront pulled out a gap and then disappeared into the distance for a good win. The battle was for 2nd and 3rd positions which turned out to be a mini classic. Trofeo Città di Riccione report

Last weekend saw the Trofeo Città di Riccione take place at the Riccione track in Italy and was open to 1/10th scale as well as 1/8th 4wd and Classic chassis’. In the 1/10th scale 200mm class it was Giammaria Antonelli driving an Xray that took the win from Valerio Rossi in 2nd and Maicol Di Felice 3rd. The 1/8th scale 4wd class saw the win go to Massimiliano Bertozzi ahead of Shepherd team mate Massimiliano Mondini, while Dennis Pazzaglini took the final podium spot. Motonica P8C Classic 2wd chassis

…expected to be available from the end of March in two different versions, one with ball differential or one with parallel gear differential. The new car itself uses lighter and more resistant materials, has a simplified and innovative radio plate, with the front sporting a new steering servo control mount as well as a new system for caster adjustment. Around the back there are new hubs for quick camber adjustment, new cones for the hub mounts and of course those 2 different differentials.
