The height of the pivot ball is adjustable by changing the aluminium insert for 3 different positions. The upright carries an aluminium insert where the ball bearings of the wheel axle sit. In that way they can achieve the perfect roundness even under load to achieve the least friction of the transmission possible. In this way it is also really easy to remove the wheel axle/driveshaft for maintenance….

Available now from IGT8 and made for the Serpent 988E 1/8th scale electric car is the DAO drag assisted one-way set. The system works with silicone oil to increase the internal friction that slows down the motion of the front wheels when being off throttle. This effect will improve braking, steering at corner entry and it will also help with more consistency and faster lap times. The first retirement of the race was Kevin Taylor who encountered problems and had to pull out after 44 laps. Alex Thurston was the next casualty as a broken pulley cut short his race after running in a comfortable 3rd position.
