Round 4 of the Catalonian Pro10 Championship was held at the Lleida track last weekend. Marc Valero made a clean sweep by taking all three rounds of qualifying and coming out on top in all three finals for the overall win in front of teammate Jaume Creus. …Schad and Roger Eiffler (Team Associated) shared a TQ round but Timo hold the upper hand in the tie-breaker. The opening A-main started wet but the track dried up quickly. Tobias made a clever tyre choice and took an undefeated win with a lap margin on 2nd placed Patrick Vannieuwenhyse (VIP Performance) from Belgium. Markus Schneider (VIP Performance) from Switzerland in turn made a good tyre choice in A2 for the win from Tobias – again on a rapidly drying track. The Montpellier track in Southern France played host to an open Pro10 race last weekend with local drivers and guests from Spain in appearance. In the Modified class it was reigning Spanish Champion, Marc Valero who set the benchmark during practice and qualification, smashing the current track record by 0.5s to a 17.481s. The opening A-main was pretty much smooth sailing for Marc but he hit some troubles in A2, however he was able to recover to take an early overall win while also winning A3 for a total sweep. Fenix have introduced a new Pro10 gear differential specifically designed for the popular VIP Performance VTE kit, a prototype ball differential as well as a range of silicone fluids. Starting with the VIP gear diff, the assembly uses a 7mm titanium axle and a new diff housing that allows for proper 235mm specifications. Included in the kit comes a clamping diff hub with M3 and 4-40 unc threads that allows to use either of the two. The MRTM track in Lostallo, Switzerland will play host to the 2018 Pan Car Masters & 1/8th Electric Track GP on the weekend of the 20th of May. Dubbed the unofficial Pro10 World Championship, the event will be held in several 1/10th 235mm Pan Car classes including Modified, 10.5T Stock and 13.5T Classic while also offering Swiss GT 13.5T and Formula 21.5T categories. In addition 1/8th E-Onroad Modified 4S/6S and 1/8th E-Onroad Stock 4S “Buri” classes will be run. Fenix have introduced a new version of their popular gear differential for 1/10th scale 235mm pan cars. Now coming with a 7mm Grade 5 titanium rear axle shaft the gear diff can be used in Pro10 cars such as the VIP Performance and Corally kits that use 7mm rear axles from standard.
