CEN Matrix TR Arena RTR now SH powered

CEN Racing have been in touch to let us now that they are introducing a new motor for the RTR version of their Matrix TR Arena. This new .28 motor has been manufactured by SH Engines to CEN’s specification and reportedly pumps out 3.6 horsepower @ 28000 RPM. Available now in all current RTRs.

Arto Heinonen wins Koski Challenge

CEN contacted us to tell us that their man Arto Heinonen was unbeatable at the second Koski Challenge indoor race, which was held last weekend at Valkeakoski, Finland. In the buggy class Arto was able to win by a lap ahead of Markku Honkanen while in the truggy class Arto was holding strong the 3rd position until the servo broke in the A-Main resulting him 9th.

Travis Scrambling & Tony Patishall join CEN Racing

We received a mail from the guys at CEN letting us know that at the last Florida Off-Road State Series racer CEN Racing managed to get 8 drivers, combined, into the A Main Events using their Matrix and Matrix Arena TR. CEN Racing have also announced that they have added two of Florida’s top drivers to the team, Travis Scrambling and Tony Patishall.
Travis has been racing for a while and has proven his skills at many of the nations top racing events. After a break from racing Travis chooses CEN Racing and the Matrix line of product to make the return to the spotlight and competitive racing. Tony Patishall is a seasoned racer and specializes in the Truggy class. His confident driving style matches perfect with the Matrix Arena TR and at Tony’s first race he showed a very promising future with the Matrix Arena TR.

CEN places high at Futaba Nitro Challenge

CEN are reporting on their site that their team drivers claimed some top places at last weekends high money stakes off road Futaba Nitro Challenge event in Louisiana. Driving the Matrix Pro buggy Andrew Smolnick took 7th position whilst Gene Hickerson took the 9th spot in the Pro buggy final. They managed to do even better in the Pro truggy final, driving the new Matrix TR Arena truggy that we showed you last week, Andrew Smolnick took 2nd place while Gene Hickerson claimed the 3rd position.

CEN Matrix TR Arena

CEN have announced the release of their all new Matrix TR Arena. This truggy that recently TQ’d and won the 2006 R/C Car Action Monster Madness event as well as a recent round of the Florida State series whilst still being developed really shows a lot of promise. This car, that has been designed and driven by ’3 USA National Champions Gene Hickerson, Andrew Smolnick, and Jason Ashton’, features a number of nice features including a very distintive composite chassis brace for extra rigidity. Its available in the standard ‘Pro’ Version and the tricked out Factory race edition (shown above).
