HoBao Hyper ST Pre-painted Bodyshell Categories - Bodies, HoBao, Off Road, Products - comments closed
HoBao were in touch to let us know about their new pre painted body shells that they have made available for the Hyper ST truggy. Using the same shape shell that comes with the kit, they are available in Blue/Black or Red/Blue and are ready to race with the holes cut out for the engine, wheels and mounting posts. Another feature is the addition of black roll bars that protect the bodyshell and engine head in the event of a crash. Comes supplied with HoBao decal sheet.

Joseph Quagraine leaves HoBao Categories - Drivers, HoBao, International, Off Road, Racing - comments closed
Neo Buggy are reporting that Finland’s most famous offroad driver Joseph Quagraine has announced his departure from long time sponsors HoBao. After 5 years together, JQ has developed into one of the most exciting and fast drivers in the current crop of top class European drivers. He had this to say about the announcement:
I would like to thank HoBao for their great support during the last five years. HoBao was my very first sponsor back in 2003, and they helped me make a name for myself on the international racing scene. I will never forget that! But now the time is right for me to move on, and I wish them all the best for the future. As for me, I am now looking forward to a new challenge.

Hobao have released a RTR version of their European Championship winning buggy, the Hyper 8.5. This high specification 1/8th buggy features many of the details that made the this car a first time winner at the Euro champs, making it an ideal choice for anybody looking to enter the competition end of 1/8th racing and be competitive from the off. Included is the company’s latest generation Hyper 21 3-port Race engine to provide improved power and torque over standard RTR power plants. Also included is the FR2 extended chassis, big bore shocks for improved rough track handling, 9kg steering servo for heavy duty applications and racing dish wheels.

HoBao Hyper 8.5 PRO UK Racing Buggy Categories - Cars, Gas Off Road, HoBao, Products - comments closed
CML Distribution in the UK have introduced the new Hyper 8.5 Pro UK competition 1/8th scale buggy. This new special version brings the European Championship winning Hyper 8.5 together with additional optional set-up accessories all inside one box. This version is centred around the UK’s mix of grass, dirt, astro style tracks that all differ considerably from those around the world. The optional FR2 chassis is standard with an additional 2mm extra length at both the front and rear for improved handling, jumping and general driveabilty. Larger, big bore shocks result in more constant and less oil changes during hard long finals. All 5 optional roll-bars are included, along with CNC aluminium suspension arm holders, servo horn, engine/chassis brace, lightweight wheel hubs and wheel dust proof nuts.

HoBao Hyper 8.5 Pro - Official pictures Categories - Cars, Gas Off Road, HoBao, Products - comments closed
We showed you pictures of the new Hyper 8.5 Pro 1/8th scale buggy from HoBao on Monday, when the pictures first surfaced on the internet. Well today, the UK importer CML have published the full release information, as well as lots of official pictures, of the car and we have them here for you. This car is currently in action at this years European 1/8th scale TT Championships in France and is currently in 5th, driving by Spanish racer Robert Batlle, who also set the overall fastest qualifying run yesterday in round 3.

HoBao Hyper 8.5 Pro Edition buggy Categories - Cars, Gas Off Road, HoBao, Products - comments closed
We forgot to mention this news when our partners Neo Buggy announced it last week, but HoBao are coming out with their latest 1/8th scale buggy, the Hyper 8.5 Pro Edition. We also now have pictures of the new buggy thanks to HoBao Norway and the car looks pretty good with its new spider diffs, big bore shocks, new chassis and braces as well as other changes. These pictures come hot on the heels of the announcement by UK distributor CML of the HoBao Hyper 8 ‘BRCA edition‘ which comes out in August, a release date for the 8.5 Pro isn’t known yet.

This ‘BRCA Edition’ Hyper 8 comes standard with a race legal CNC heatsink Hyper 21 3-port, non pull start, engine and Hyper starter box for reliable and effective starting time after time. In addition to the high quality Futaba radio equipment, the servos used are a heavy duty Futaba 9kg for the steering unit and a 6kg throttle servo to handle even the toughest demands of racing. Available in Limited quantities in August.
