Hot Bodies have announced that they will be shipping this new motor mount for their World Championship winning Cyclone touring car. Available in 3 anodised colours; purple, blue and black, the new motor mount is made especially for mounting brushless motors by providing more space to allow you to use up to 110 teeth on the spur gear. This is done by allowing the motor be mounted further away from the center shaft.

Velocity Racing foam bumpers

Its a slow news day when we start writing about foam bumpers but unfortnately that day has come so here it is. Japanese company Velocity Racing have released these high density foam bumpers for the Hot Bodies Cyclone and excitingly enough they come in 2 different colours, are super lightweight, and sport such nifty features as removable foam cutouts to allow you to customise how the bumper should compress under impact.

HB High quality matched Springs

Hot Bodies have released these matched high quality springs for use with their World Championship winning on road electric Cyclone chassis range. We wrote about these springs last Christmas when they were originally released under the Atsushi Hara Products brand, but now they are available from Hot Bodies / HPI direct.

Featuring ground-flat ends, cool black coating and a simple paint marking to identify the strength of the spring, these are the ultimate Cyclone tuning spring. The springs are each 25mm long and will fit a variety of shock absorbers from various manufacturers.

HB Front Solid Axle Set V.3

Hot Bodies have released this front solid axle set for use with their Cyclone 190mm toruing car. This axle comes as standard with the Cyclone World Champion Edition and now it is available to be used in all other versions of the car. The Version 3 of this axle set uses steel outdrives which increases durability and therefore increases the time between rebuilds.

Using the valuable ’spool’ effect, you will get maximum front traction on all types of tracks. From tight, twisty tracks with high traction to wide, low traction surfaces, you get the advantage of outbraking the competition and turning tight into the corner!

Toni Rheinard confirmed to Hot Bodies

Toni Rheinard confirmed to Hot Bodies

A short while back we wrote a piece about the fact that Toni ‘brother of Marc’ Rheinard may be upping and leaving Kyosho, a company that he had only raced with for a short time, well that is now confirmed. In pictures from this weeks TITC race in Thailand we can see that Toni is now racing for Hot Bodies, which is a good move for both parties, with Toni hopefully able to get the exposure and success that being a HB driver brings, and HB getting a very talented racer. Hopefully somebody will stand him against a wall and get a picture of him in his HB gear but in the meantime we’ll have to make do with my dodgy compilation shots above.

UPDATE: Someone called his name and took his picture.

They will release a new updated Moorespeed Mazda 6 bodyshell for 1/10th scale 190mm racing that features several aerodynamic tweaks for more high-speed steering and a longer profile for improved straight-line stability. Also coming out is a new competition body for 1/8th off road that features an aerodynamically-tuned cockpit, sweet speed lines and a sharply angled rear panel. And finally a body for 1/12th circuit racing, a new class that HB will enter, that takes design concepts from a full size LMP car and sports front canard winglets to its super low-slung design and a massive rear wing.
