IDM DM WC’08 clutch set Categories - Accessories, Engines, IDM, Products - comments closed
Italian company IDM, run by World Champion Daniele Ielasi, has announced the release of the DM WC’08 a new Power Clutch for 1/10th scale 200mm. Used and developed by Ielasi at the World Championship in Lisbon last August, this new clutch system has larger diameter internals (clutch, flyweel, clutch-shoe, bell) for more bite in acceleration for reduced fuel consumption and better life for the clutch shoe. The kit also includes two pinions (16/22), suitable for all manufacturers cars, both of which have been made from a hard material for increased life.

Jeremy Cupps signs to Team XS Power Categories - Drivers, Gas, IDM, On Road, Racing - comments closed 
Team XS Power were in touch to tell us that top US gas racer Jeremy Cupps has signed to their company to run IDM engines for the following season. Team XS Power also wanted to report that they are now the exclusive importer for Shepherd Micro racing in North America.

As some of you may have noticed, we have a new advertiser on the site in the form of IDM, the company run by top Italian racing driver Daniele Ielasi. Best known for his range of IDM Tuned Picco made engines, the former European Champion is also extending the IDM line to carry other products as well. IDM are getting into the tire business with the release of a complete range of foam 1/8th scale and 1/10th scale tires made by ATS and we are told that there will be changes made to the wheels you see in the picture above before launch. Other items include the IDM branded and Capricorn made clutch system for 1/8th scale, that features a vented clutch bell and 3 different clutch shoes for varying effects.

Fun & Drive obtain IDM distribution Categories - Engines, IDM, Industry, Products - comments closed
Our friends at Fun & Drive in Germany have been in touch to tell us that they have been appointed the German distributor for the Picco based range of IDM engines. Run by the Lechner family, this long established RC firm will carry the full range of IDM products and as part of the deal, super quick lady racer Sabrina Lechner will also now run the IDM power plants.

The new U.S. importer for IDM engines and accessories, XS Power, has contacted us with information on the latest line of motors from top Italian Gas on road racer Danielle Ielasi. The engines are manufactured by Picco Micromotori, for whom Ielasi works, and are aimed at competition racers in all the classes that their engines are used in. Available in .12, .21, .26 and .28 sizes, IDM have engines for both on road and off road, with power and great fuel consumption a major feature of these motors.
